Amani The Brave

Hi. My name is Zainabu. I am the mother of a beautiful young girl named Amani. She was diagnosed with

Acrodermatitis Enteropathica at 1 years old after an almost near death experience. She had sores and hair loss all over her body and we didnt realize what was happening. We thought it was a part of the newborn to toddler experience. 4 days after her birth, she got really sick as her skin began to fall off in her diaper. She had rashes all over her body and bleeding, She would cry and moan. She stopped eating and drinking. She then eventually stopped urinating. She would have diarrhea and vomit. We had no idea. We saw doctors for months, till we figured out what it was almost 2.5 months later. Zinc changed her life, and she was the first case ever in the hospital, and now we are finding first for many.
