Policondritis Recidivante
La Policondritis Recidivante (PR) es una rara enfermedad inmunomediada que se caracteriza por la inflamación y en la destrucción del cartílago.
Todos los cartílagos pueden verse afectados, pero los pabellones auriculares, el puente nasal y la tráquea, son los sitios más frecuentes atacados por la enfermedad.
En algunos pacientes, la enfermedad puede llegar a tener complicaciones sistémicas, como lo son los riñones, el corazón, los vasos, los pulmones y los ojos.
Nuestro grupo de apoyo “Policondritis Recidivante Apoyo e Investigación” tiene como objetivo Crear conciencia mediante apoyo e investigación para las personas que sufren Policondritis Recidivante.
Somos un grupo de pacientes con Policondritis de diversos países (México, Chile, España, Estados Unidos, Argentina, Italia, Venezuela, entre otros).
Somos la primera organización dirigida a las personas de países de habla hispana, en estos países el estudio de esta enfermedad es muy pobre, solamente se han publicado casos y pequeñas series de casos en la literatura médica, no existe la investigación a fondo de la condición y frecuentemente es desconocida por los médicos, lo que lamentablemente ha llevado a la pérdida de pacientes.
Nuestro grupo de pacientes pretende ser escuchado y comprendido por la sociedad, en un mundo en el cual somos “invisibles” queremos ser conocidos y ayudar a más personas que viven día a día los estragos de esta enfermedad incurable.
Este año 2024 quiero agradecer infinitamente a todos los médicos que han dedicado su trabajo a investigar nuestra enfermedad; gracias al Profesor Laurent, Marcela, Yongmei, Shimizu y todos los demás; gracias infinitas.
También dedicar este año por las personas que lucharon contra la enfermedad y las personas que van a padecerla.

Relapsing Polychondritis
Relapsing Polychondritis (RP) is a rare immune-mediated disease characterized by inflammation and cartilage destruction.
All cartilage can be affected, but the pinna, nasal bridge and trachea are the most frequent sites attacked by the disease.
In some patients, the disease can lead to systemic complications, such as the kidneys, heart, vessels, lungs and eyes.
Our support group “Relapsing Polychondritis Support and Research” aims to raise awareness through support and research for people suffering from Relapsing Polychondritis.
We are a group of patients with Polychondritis from various countries (Mexico, Chile, Spain, United States, Argentina, Italy, Venezuela, among others).
We are the first organization aimed at people from Spanish-speaking countries, in these countries the study of this disease is very poor, only cases and small series of cases have been published in the medical literature, there is no in-depth research into the condition and is frequently unknown by doctors, which unfortunately has led to the loss of patients.
Our group of patients aims to be heard and understood by society, in a world in which we are “invisible” we want to be known and help more people who live the ravages of this incurable disease every day.
This year 2024 I want to infinitely thank all the doctors who have dedicated their work to researching our disease; thanks to Professor Laurent, Marcela, Yongmei, Shimizu and everyone else; infinite thanks.
Also dedicate this year for the people who fought against the disease and the people who will suffer from it.
