The story of Adriana
Hello i’m a 23 year old female that was diagnosed with NON classical CAH back in June 2015; this disease is pretty much ADRENAL INSUFFICIENCY; body lacks cortisol the hormone needed to make the body function properly. I didn’t know what was wrong with me because i was always having chronic migraines, EXTREME fatigue, lack of energy,anxiety and depression. I have had issues with irregular menstrual cycles ever since what I thought I had hit puberty.Little did I know i had ALREADY hit puberty at the age of 7; I started my period at age of 9. Anyways as the years went by I started to have more symptoms. I have always been a book work, so I was always reading and came across this diagnosis. I pretty much self diagnosed, however I wanted a professional standpoint. I then saw an Endocrinologist and sure enough was diagnosed with Non classical CAH. I was also diagnosed with Bilateral PCOS within the month. Both these diseases have pretty much taken a poll against me. It is very depressing to have all these issues all at once at such a short age. I am currently seeing a Reproductive endocrinologist; DEALING WITH INFERTILITY. Taking meds for anxiety, for infertility issues for migraines and to induce your period isnt fun at all not mentioning all the side effects. I just hope that someday all of this comes to an end and they find a possible cure or more effective treatments not only for the ones suffering with ADRENAL INSUFFICIENCY but for ALL WHO ARE LIVING WITH A RARE DISEASE WORLDWIDE.
