Not another headcase…

The story of Melanie

I am one of the lucky one’s because I only had underbtwo years after my accident before I was diagnosed correctly. Little did I know how much it would affect my life, but I focus on the positives. On the surface I look pretty normal. No one can tell I have too much fluid sloshing around in my head and the meds keep my eyes from popping out. I even got used to having lumbar punctures. My rare disease is Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension and my vision is still okay. I live with the negative side effects and remind myself it could be worse.
