The story of David Stevens Jr
My name is David. At the age of 21 I was diagnosed with IH, with papillary edema. Had to be flown to a hospital 250 miles from home. They didn’t figure it out until I went completely blind. Two years later, I am legally blind, and have develops secondary pulmonary hypertension. It has been a struggle on my family financially. My mom has to take days off work on order to take me to all the different doctors appointments. The cost of hotels, medications etc. drepression sets in some days I feel so alone. I ride my horse because he knows the way home.
