IdiopathicParafoveal Telangiectasia

The story of PATRICIA

My name is Patricia , I’m from Carmichaels ,Pa. The United States
In January 2014 I started having problems with my right eye. At first I thought it was because of not going to the eye doctors like I should have and have my regular eye checkup. I was told that it was cataracts in both eyes so I was sent to a specialist who confirmed I needed surgery for my right eye cataract in it.I had the surgery, but came back and told the doctor there is still some problems in it.I’m still talking about the right eye in this story. So he sent me for MRI’S , CT’S, NOTHING SHOWED UP, So he sent me to a NEUROLOGIST who did more MRI’S, BLOOD TEST,AND BRAIN SCAN’S NOTHING SHOWED. then I was sent too the emergency hospital, who sent me to a Neuro OBTOMOLOGIST. who had you got it more test and another Neurologist in his office, They both check and rechecked all of the test so did more test and still couldn’t find what was going on. FINALLY the Neuro Obt. did a OCT. [OBTIC NERVE TEST] ON ME SAID HES COULDN’T HELP ME I needed to see my Obtomologist who did the Cateract surgery. I went back to see him and you have it , he did a CT ON ME SAID he couldn’t help me now I need a Retina Eye Doctor.SO on SEPT.19 , 2014 I went to see the Retina DOCTOR who you have it did another OCT on my right eye and told my husband and I that I am going Blind in my right eye called IDIOPATHICPARAFOVEAL Telangiectasia a REAR DIEASE THAT 1 IN 30000 WILL GET. and in stage 3 which I have there is no cure. If I do have surgery It wouldn’t help it and I could go blind sooner . SO I have to live day by day not knowing if I will go to bed with both eyes open in the morning or with maybe only one eye. I have been Having a lot of problems still with the right eye.
