About Achalasia Action
Achalasia Action is a charity that aims to bring people with achalasia together and to help everyone improve their understanding of this rare condition.
(1) We provide a a friendly and well-informed community to support those with achalasia, oesophageal motility and peristalsis problems.
(2) We provide education and guidance for those with achalasia, and aim to create awareness of the disease amongst patients, their families, medical professionals and the wider public.
(3) We collaborate with the medical community and encourage achalasia-related research projects
On rare disease day, we will be leading a social media campaign to raise awareness of achalasia. We will be sharing stories of people with achalasia, and their experience of being part of a supportive community.
