Description
This is a virtual walk to raise awareness and fundraise for APS Type 1 research and education in association with Rare Disease Day. This year we are also honoring the memory of James Read, who lived valiantly with APS Type 1 for his 20 years with us. His family and friends started this walk, and we are proud to be joining in the celebration of his life. We invite anyone and everyone to run, walk, bike, swim, lift weights…. any activity can be logged and will be converted into virtual miles walked. There is no limit to the number of people that can share in the fun, so recruit some friends to join and have a little friendly competition! You can participate from anywhere since it is virtual. The trek will begin at Wrigley Field in Chicago and finish in Washington DC with some fun stops along the way.
