The RDD meet and greet will be held at The University of New Mexico, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology (Conference Room 201) on February 29th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The preliminary agenda is as follows:
10-11 – Introductions (round table format) and rare disease stories. If you are a rare disease patient or have a rare disease patient in your family, please let us know if you want to say a few words (up to 5 minutes).
11-12 – Rare Disease Research at UNM (round table format). We want to coalesce the community of rare disease researchers, patients and the community at UNM. We will discuss alignment with the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) – including starting a NORD NM chapter and how to plan better for Rare Disease Day at UNM starting on 2/28/2025.
12 noon – 1 pm – Lunch Pizza and a beverage will be served. Discussions are likely to continue.
