Description
Lyndsey & Aisling have chosen to fundraise for Rare Ireland Family Support Network as both their daughters are living with a rare disease. Arabella has an ultra rare 2q24.2 Microdeletion & is only 1 of 150 individuals worldwide that we know of. She absolutely loves each & every beach along the beautiful Waterford coast. Saoirse is living with TSC, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and loves the beaches of Waterford too & so this event is going to be so much fun for them. These girls have been friends since the age of 2, and it’s lovely for the families as they have formed a really lovely friendship too. The charity has meant so much to them, so much so that they both became committee members.
Date: Saturday February 25th
Location: Kilmurrin Cove, Co. Waterford.
Time: From 1pm onwards
Local artist Sean Corcoran aka The Art Hand will join us on the day where he will create a beautiful sand art mural to celebrate Rare Disease Day 2023 and how us families are proud to be part of the rare community. We are welcoming rare families, extended families, friends, allies and the general public to join us to extend their support and view the art work.
Please come along and support us on the day. Everyone is welcome! Whether you would like to take part in the swimming, going for a quick dip, or to view the sand art mural you will be more than welcome.
