28 January is rare disease day, a special day for over 300 million people worldwide living with a rare disease. 1 million of these patients live in Romania and must be recognized, diagnosed and treated here as soon as possible.
We decided to get involved in the global campaign of Rare Disease Day to raise awareness for rare diseases among medical community for the 15th time in the Symposium “Shades of rare diseases” dedicated to this day using the colours symbols denoting rare diseases according to the annual theme ”Share your colours”.
Our meeting tries to bring to the attention of specialists the different nuances of rare diseases in terms of signs of presentation and recognition, evolution, possibilities of medical intervention, as well as with the invitation to participate in the global campaign dedicated to rare diseases by spreading the expertise for rare diseases to young doctors.
Our slogan: More colours, more shades, more early diagnoses!
