This is the 7th Rare Disease Day to be observed in Ghana since 2018. Various activities have been planned which includes:

Social media publicity: This will run throughout the month from 1st through to 29th February on all RDGI social media handles and pages. Kindly follow us, like and share our posts with your contacts, friends and family.

School activation program(SAP):
Each Year, we collaborate with schools to plan several activities to create awareness and promote a culture of inclusion and acceptance within our schools. This will be done with the participating schools in the last week of February. We are open to new collaborations.

Media engagement and publicity:
As always, within the last week of February, we embark on publicity drive through the use of radio and TV programs. This helps us to reach the general public as well as our policy makers. We are opened to new opportunities to work and interact with the media.

Rare Disease Day Webinar :
This year, we are partnering with Mission Clinic to host a Rare Diseases Day Webinar. This webinar will take place on the last Sunday of February.

Light up event:
We’ll join the global chain of lights as we crown our month long awareness creation with lighting up the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ridge on 29th February, 2024 at 6pm prompt.

These event is open to everyone especially families living with rare diseases and as many as can make it to this event should kindly reach out to us via 055 271 6011 for logistics and planning purposes.
