Dr. Manda Hosen, medical science liaison with the Department of Pediatrics Division of Medical Genetics and School of Medicine Genetics Special Interest Group, will give the Rare Disease Day lecture, “Hypophosphatasia, Wilson Disease, and Lysosomal Lipase Acid Lipase Deficiency: Overview of Three Rare Metabolic Diseases,” at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in School of Medicine (SOM) 122. This event is sponsored by Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Boxed lunches are available for the first 50 attendees.

The goal of Rare Disease Day is to improve knowledge amongst the general public of rare diseases while encouraging researchers and decision makers to address the needs of those living with rare diseases. Also, as part of Rare Disease Day, join us as we sew teddy bears for children with rare diseases. No prior sewing experience is required.
