Description
The Rare Disease Genomics research group directed by Prof Shahida Moosa at Stellenbosch University and Tygerberg Hospital, will be hosting Rare Disease Awareness Month Initiative during February 2022. A series of interviews with parents and caregivers of Rare Warriors will be screened on social media during the month, highlighting their lived experiences, challenges and triumphs. Rare Disease Day will be held on 23.02.2022 in the Hospital and on 28.02.2022 at the University. A host of activities are planned for the month, culminating in in-person and virtual events.
