Event Description: An informal and insightful interview with Jorge Sequeiros.
Jorge Sequeiros is recognised as one of the most prominent figures in Portuguese Medical Genetics over the last 30 years. He is a clinical geneticist and Emeritus Professor at the University of Porto. He established Medical Genetics as a clinical specialty in Portugal. He made important contributions to the development of neurogenetics and psychosocial genetics, and the advancement of the ethical, regulatory and other societal aspects of genetic testing and genetic information. One of the most important steps of his career was the creation of the Centre for Predictive and Preventive Genetics (CGPP), at IBMC, a centre that provides services in the areas of genetic testing and genetic counselling to the community.
