Monday, March 1, 13 PM. remotely there will be a conference on Youtube ′′ Genetics Revolution - are we ready to be one of the leaders ′′ dedicated to the Day of Rare Disease.
In recent years, Lithuania and the world have been shaken by many discoveries of genetics and biotechnology that revolutionize these fields and the whole world of science. Their use in the treatment of rare diseases could also substitute the latter. But are we as a state exploiting them or are we ready to exploit this science potential? Will it be properly used for both the development of the country and rare diseases?

Kovo 1 d., pirmadienį, 13 val. nuotoliniu būdu vyks Seimo Neįgaliųjų teisių komisijos ir mūsų organizuojama konferencija „Genetikos revoliucija – ar esame pasiruošę būti vieni iš lyderių“, skirta Retų ligų dienai paminėti.
Pastaraisiais metais Lietuvą ir pasaulį sudrebino nemažai genetikos ir biotechnologijų mokslų atradimų, kurie revoliucionuoja šias sritis ir visą mokslo pasaulį. Jų panaudojimas retų ligų gydyme pastarąjį taip pat galėtų pakeisti iš esmės. Bet ar mes kaip valstybė juos išnaudojame, ar esame pasiruošę išnaudoti šį mokslo potencialą? Ar jis bus tinkamai pasitelktas tiek šalies vystymuisi, tiek retoms ligoms gydyti?
