Wegener’s

The story of Sarah

I was diagnosed with Wegener’s in June 2009 at the age of 61. I was working toward retirement and enjoying the rest of my life. I had always had sinus problems and severe pain in my legs and arms. I got really sick in January 2009. I had sever sinus problems and severe pain. I developed a bad cough in January 2009. I was seeing my primary doctor, a ENT doctor and a Rheumutologist. They would tell me to lose weight, eat smaller portion sizes, and get a hearing aid. In June 2009 I seen a Allergy & Asthma doctor that immediately realized that my bad cough was serious. Within a week I was hospital with my left lung collapsed. I was in the hospital for 8 days and had a biospy that confirmed I had Wegener’s. I went thru a cytoxin, predisone, bactrim treatment. I eventually got better but still have a lot of problems. I’m despressed, broke, and living for my grandchildren. They keep me going. Anybody that reads this, pray for me.
