The story of Kristen
I was first diagnosed with Cystinuria when I was 2 years old and my family was told I had a 3/4 inch kidney stone that needed to be surgically removed. Pretty large for a two year old. I have battled this disease my whole life and have formed many large stones and undergone numerous surgeries. People never understand why I can’t just undergo typical procedures because of the makeup of my kidney stones. I’m currently 25 and I will battle this the rest of my life. Proud stoner!
