Hello, I am a 52yrs old woman diagnosed with Behcet’s Disease, Sjögren’s Syndrome and Selective IgA Deficiency Behcet’s is the most uncommon in my case since is genetic but not having anyone in my family descendant of europeans, asians or turkish at all, I am a latin person and when diagnosed with all 3 conditions has been a total challenge for me, my treatments, and for have a doctor who have knowledge of my conditions which sometimes mimics lupus and others just seems like a allergic reaction to something but is not, Sjögren’s and Behcet’s together is totally painful for me when I have a flair up since sometimes is hard for me to identify which one is flaring up, is frustrating, is painful but despite all I have try hard to keep my life as normal as I can and trying not to mess my mental health and feel depress. To all that have a rare disease please be strong we are warriors dont let the illness take your life if you need some rest do it is ok sometimes not to be ok, but please never give up, I am still learning a lot of my conditions and have plans in my life in the near future. Soon I will be a grandma for first time and want to be in great conditions(best as I can) for that great moment.
