Finally finding an answer

The story of Dawn

I’m a 45 year old woman from Derry, NH and I have Moersch-Woltman Syndrome also known as Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS). I was diagnosed in Nov 2014 and it’s basically an autoimmune disease where you body attacks the enzymes in your system that allow your muscles to relax. Therefore your muscles stay stiff ALL THE TIME. Approximately 350 in the U.S. have this. So the chances of getting SPS is one in a million. For me it started in my feet, calves, buttocks, neck and shoulders. For 2 1/2 years I tried to work but I can’t wear shoes for long and I can’t sit in a standard chair or stand for long periods of time. No one had answers everyone thought I had fibromyalgia, which I do. But, these symptoms fell outside the fibro bubble. So now I have the answer but what all 350 of us need us a cure.
