I am a 47 year old man from the USA in the state of KY I have something called Cowdens syndrome. It is a condition that raises you chances for certain types of cancers. I do not have cancer at this point in my life however I did have it when I was 6 years old in my left hand. I had to have the nerves removed in my hand in order to save the hand and my life. since then I have had numerous lumps or bumps removed and over 300 polyps from my colon. ALLI am grateful to say were NOT cancer. I have to do aggressive check ups each year. I found I had this condition at age 42. It would seem that I am the first in my family with it. The hard thing is DNA shows my eight year old son has inherited it from me, which kills me. He is a right young man a good student but will most likely go through some of the same stuff I went through. If anyone has any information that is new about this please let me know or any new drugs out there that will be able to stop this. I am willing to be a pincushion for a cure and for my son. We have to raise more money to find cures for these rare issues that effect so many. GOD BLESS YOU.
