Rare Disease Day in Singapore
Patient organisations in Singapore first participated in Rare Disease Day in 2013. To launch their campaign, they hosted a “Fun Family Afternoon,” which included information sessions for adults and fun activities for children, such as balloon sculpting and musical therapy. In 2016, a day for caregivers, physicians, allied healthcare professionals, patient support organisations, pharmaceutical representatives and health officials was organised to come together and look at progressing care and policy for rare diseases in Singapore.
