Rare Disease Day in Spain
Spain has been involved in Rare Disease Day since 2008. In previous years Spain has celebrated Rare Disease Day in a variety of ways from concerts in Zaragoza and Madrid to conferences near Valencia.
In 2018, Spain focused a lot on the Rare Disease Day theme of research in the majority of its events, for example, there was a seminar focusing on research at an international level. People also came together to watch a screening of the documentary Human Timebombs, which illustrates the difficulties people living with a rare disease may experience on a daily basis.
