Tunisia

Tunisia first celebrated Rare Disease Day in 2016 when researchers gave talks at schools to raise awareness of rare diseases in Tunisia. Following years have included conferences where discussions focused on the role of research and raising awareness among the general public. School children have also taken part in an art competition in honour of Rare Disease Day.

To mark Rare Disease Day 2020 the national alliance of Tunisia hosted a fun-filled programme for the rare disease community including conferences, testimonies, scientific workshops, music therapy workshop and a concert.
