Patient organisations in Finland have taken part in Rare Disease Day since its launch in 2008. Finland has marked the day in a variety of ways, from conferences all over the country on topics as varied as nutrition and disability law, to magic shows, sledging and a ‘rare tour’ which provided awareness-raising activities around the country.
In 2020 to mark Rare Disease Day, Finland hosted a Rare Fair family event inviting all members of the community.Â
