The story of Frances V Rodrigues
My name is Frances Rodrigues, I am here to share my story of rare diseases and how Cryoglobulinemia, G6PD Deficiency, Vulvar Squamous Cell Cancer affect me.Cryoglobulinemia is a rare protein that effect my blood vessels which thickens or gel-like consistency, resulting in the restriction of blood flow .Inflammation can cause organ and tissue damage.I have a severe and chronic sensitivy to the cold,which is imperative to keep in my mind daily when making making decisions. Vulvar Squamous Cell cancer which is due to Lichen Sclerous that is known to cause squamous cancer. It has made a permanent impression on my life because it is a topic which deals with and area of the body that women typically shy away from discusing,as it can be very invasive,mutilating,and depressing. G6PDD is an inborn error of the metabolism of the X chromosome which predisposes an individual to red blood cell breakdown with certain drugs,food,and infection .This makes everyday activities such as eating,and taking important prescriptions difficult to make it known how important it is.
