The story of Meagan
Hello, I am a 28 years old but when I was born I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation (a brain condition) and Club feet. I had many operations to fix my feet before the age of six but my right foot is still curved and throws off my walking and causes issues for my knee. I also have patella Alta where my knee caps are sitting too high, not sitting in the grooves, safe, where they’re supposed to be. As a child I got violently ill A LOT, had low blood sugar, etc and finally at age 16!!! I was diagnosed with Panhypopituitarism, a pituitary that doesn’t work. The pituitary controls all the hormones in your body to make your body function. Thyroid, cortisol, growth hormone, etc, all of them! I’m still trying to find a balance of the many hormones my body needs to survive but I’ve survived it all and have a wonderful life! I’m self employed nanny with a bachelor’s degree and have the most incredible husband of 6 1/2 years! My rare disease does not have me.
