World of Rare Disease Pop Quiz

Featured on the NI Science Festival Schools & Educators Programme

An interactive, educational pop quiz for students curious to learn more about the World of Rare Disease.

Do you know how many people have a rare disease? What causes a rare disease? Is cancer a rare disease? What are the challenges in researching rare diseases and how do researchers address them?

If you are a future scientist, health professional, statistician, or counsellor, or you simply want to learn more – this is for you! Join in, test your knowledge, and improve your understanding whilst helping to raise awareness of the world of rare diseases. 

To mark Rare Disease Day 2021 the Northern Ireland Rare Disease Partnership (NIRDP) have joined together with early-stage researchers to create this unique quiz.  Supporting the 1 in 17 people living with a rare disease worldwide -perhaps even someone in your family, or a friend or neighbour.

Note: The short pop quiz begins on Tuesday 9th February at 10am and will continue for you to take part in at any time until Thursday 11th February at 3pm.
