Race for 7 is a large-scale nation-wide Awareness Campaign organized by Organization for Rare Disease India (ORDI) in line with World Rare Diseases Day, February 29th.
The race against the rare diseases is gaining momentum through continuous small but significant efforts, and we wish to keep leading it through campaigns such as Racefor7
Racefor7 symbolically represents the 7000 rare diseases with 7000 people running/walking for 7 kilometers.
Racefor7, the NATIONWIDE EVENT for rare disorders has been a successful national awareness campaign that began in 2016 in Bengaluru. The number of participants in Bengaluru alone was over 3,500 in 2018. In the same year we conducted Racefor7 in Mumbai & Washington where over 1,500 & 100 supporters participated respectively. In 2019 the campaign was hosted by 9 key cities. Racefor7 symbolizes going the distance for rare diseases with people running for 7 kilometres.
Racefor7-2020 is the 5th year of the campaign and is planned at a much larger scale, reaching out to as many as 20 target cities
