ERN ReCONNET, the European Reference Network for Rare and Complex Connective Tissue Diseases, renews its appointment with the illumination of the Leaning Tower of Pisa on the occasion of World Rare Disease Day. As was the case in 2020 and 2021, on Monday 28 February from 18.30 to 23.00 the colours and logo of World Rare Disease Day will be projected on the Tower. This event is part of a series of initiatives around the world that literally turn the lights on rare diseases, made possible thanks to the willingness and interest of the Archbishop of Pisa Monsignor Giovanni Paolo Benotto and the Opera Primaziale.
It is also a way to turn the spotlight on Pisa University Hospital’s commitment to patients and its acknowledged excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases.
ERN ReCONNET, la rete europea di riferimento per le malattie rare e complesse del tessuto connettivo, rinnova l’appuntamento con l’illuminazione della Torre di Pisa in occasione della Giornata mondiale delle malattie rare. Come già successo nel 2020 e nel 2021, lunedì 28 febbraio dalle 18.30 alle 23 sulla Torre verranno proiettati i colori e il logo della Giornata mondiale delle malattie rare. Si tratta di un evento che si inserisce nelle iniziative che in tutto il mondo accendono letteralmente le luci sulle malattie rare, reso possibile grazie alla disponibilità e all’interessamento dell’arcivescovo di Pisa monsignor Giovanni Paolo Benotto e dell’Opera Primaziale.
È anche un modo per accendere i riflettori sull’impegno dell’Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria Pisana a favore dei pazienti e sulla sua riconosciuta eccellenza nella diagnosi e nella cura delle malattie rare.
