Rare Disease Day - celebrated world -wide on the last day of February. The main objective of Rare Disease Day is to raise awareness amongst the general public and decision-makers about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ lives.

6:30pm Seminar "Updates in Testing for Rare Diseases" by Dr. Carlos Bacino, Chief of Genetic Services, Texas Children’s Hospital
7:00pm Seminar "Social Media and Rare Diseases" by Dr. Christian Schaaf, Assistant Professor, Dept of Molecular and Human Genetics, Baylor College of Medicine and parent advocate Lace Mitchell
