Research in rare disease areas at the School of Biological Sciences at Royal Holloway includes Dr Rafael Yáñez’s lab researching spinal muscular atrophy, spinal injury, ataxia telangiectasia and severe combined immunodeficiency and Professor George Dickson’s and Dr Linda Popplewell's labs researching Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular conditions.

Join us and find out why we think research and funding to help the sufferers of rare diseases is so important.
