Rare Disease Day in Netherlands
The Netherlands has been active with Rare Disease Day since its beginning in 2008. The National Rare Disease Day (‘Nationale Zeldzameziektendag’) is organized by VSOP, the Dutch National Patient Alliance for Rare and Genetic Disease. VSOP (www.vsop.nl), was founded in 1979 and is currently the National Alliance of over 70 national parent and patient organizations for rare and genetic diseases. All information concerning the events that VSOP organizes on Rare Disease Day can be found on the dedicated website www.zeldzameziektendag.nl
