Rare Diseases Day 2013 in Poland
Together with its members – 24 rare diseases patients organisations - the Polish National Forum ORPHAN (Polish National RD Alliance www.rzadkiechoroby.pl ) in 2013 will traditionally celebrate the Rare Diseases Day at the famous Palace on the Island in Warsaw Lazienki Park. Entire event has the patronage of Polish First Lady Anna Komorowska.
The celebration will start on 28.02 with the Conference during which the Minister of Health is expected to announce the end of works on the draft of the Rare Diseases National Plan. This formal step should initiate governmental consultations in order to adopt and start implementing this deeply demanded policy document as of January 2014.
During the Conference the there will be Rare Diseases Photo Exhibition organized and we also plan to initiate the awareness campaign called „I see, I hear, I act”. At the beginning of this useful idea we plan to get the conference participants’ support by signing the specially arranged installations which will be later on placed in the Polish Parliament.
The Polish Rare Diseases Day event has its separate web www.dzienchorobrzadkich.pl and social communication and public support over the Facebook at www.facebook.com/DzienChorobRzadkich
