Uplifting Athletes Advocacy Day

This organization was founded by current and former athletes and top-tier universities in the U.S.  The purpose is to raise funds for research and provide advocacy.  For Rare Diseae Day, Uplifting Athletes will coordinate an Advocacy Day beginning in Arlington Virginia (818 N. Quincy Street) at 9 to 10 a.m.  Following brief presentations and lunch, the group will travel to Capitol Hill to speak to legislative staff on topics related to insurance caps and newborn screening.
